Removing an output option

Follow these instructions to remove a finisher, 5-bin mailbox, high-capacity output stacker, or output expander. The following steps explain how to remove an output expander as an example.

1If you are removing the topmost output option and do not plan to return it to that position, remove the top cover.

If you are removing a finisher, skip to step 4.

You must attach the top cover to the printer or topmost output option when you finish removing output options. In addition, it may be necessary to remove the paper bail from the top cover, depending on the type of output option to which it is attached. Refer to the Setup Guide for more information.

2Detach the output expander tray.

If you are removing a 5-bin mailbox or high-capacity output stacker, skip to step 3.

a Lift the edge of the tray so the lower tabs come out of the slots on the output expander.
