3Pull the memory option out of the connector.

4Place the memory option in its original packaging. If you did not save the packaging, wrap it in paper and store it in a box.

5If you need to install a replacement memory option or other option on the system board, refer to the Setup Guide.

6Refer to the Setup Guide for instructions on closing the printer system board.

Removing an option card

If necessary, refer to the Setup Guide for instructions on accessing the printer system board.

WARNING: Electronic components are easily damaged by static electricity. Touch something metal on the printer before you touch the card.

1Locate the option you want to remove.

2Loosen and remove the two screws over and under the slot. Gently pull the card out of the connector on the system board.

3Place the option card in its original packaging. If you did not save the packaging, wrap the card in paper and store it in a box.

4If you need to install another option on the system board, refer to the Setup Guide.

5Refer to the Setup Guide for instructions on closing the printer system board.
