Interface Connector and Cable

Be sure to use only a parallel interface cable that meets the specifications described below.

Length:	Less than 10 feet (3 meters)
Connectors:	Printer:	Parallel 36-pin connector
	PC:	EIA 25-pin connector

Cable type:Shielded. Each signal and ground pair should be twisted.

Pin assignments: IEEE 1284 type-B

Note

•When connecting your computer to the parallel connector on the printer, we recommend using an IEEE1284/ ECP/ EPP/ compatible parallel interface cable (1.5 m long).
