5. Select ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup.
The WAN Setup screen displays.
6. From the WAN Preference menu, select one of the following options:
•Must use DSL WAN. The modem router uses the ADSL port for an Internet
connection over DSL service and both Ethernet ports are available for LAN
connections. The selection from the Use port 2 as menu changes automatically to
LAN.
•Must use Ethernet WAN. The modem router uses Ethernet port 2 for an Internet
connection over cable or fiber service and only Ethernet port 1 is available for a LAN
connection. The selection from the Use port 2 as menu changes automatically to
WAN.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your changes are saved.
