Console and Diag ports

Use the Console port on the Passport 8690SF or Passport 8691SF module to access management functions for the Passport 8672ATME Module. For information on connecting to the Console port of either module, refer to Getting Started with the Passport 8000 Series Switch Management Software.

The Diag port on the Passport 8672ATME Module is used only by Nortel Networks personnel for debugging purposes. You can see diagnostic messages but you cannot input any text.
