Enabling codecs

In Element Manager, select the codecs that will be enabledfor calls on the

Call Server, and deﬁne the associated parameters, such as payload size.

Select the Nodes: Servers, Media Cards web page under IP Network.

Then click Edit on the Node Conﬁguration web page, and click VGWand

IP phone codec proﬁle. Select an existing codec or conﬁgure a new

one in the VGW and IP phone codec proﬁle section, shown in Figure 13

"Conﬁguring a codec" (page 64). Refer to IP Peer Networking: Installation

and Conﬁguration (NN43001-313) for full instructions on conﬁguring a

codec.
