!You must have your local telephone carrier’s Distinctive Ring service.

!Your fax machine must be in FAX or PC answer mode, and the PBX dial parameter must be set to OFF. Other

modes—TEL, TEL/ FAX, or TAD—will override Distinctive Ring.

!This feature may not work properly if you have a telephone other than a genuine Oki optional handset connected to your fax machine.

Setting Distinctive Ring

To set up your fax machine to recognize another ring pattern:

1Press the Menu/Exit key to enter the menu.

2Enter speed access number 67.

3When the display shows the parameter you want, press or to select the setting, press Enter.

4Press Menu/Exit to return to standby mode.

Memory Password

Speed access no. 04

This is a 4-digit numeric password used when the machine is operating in the Memory Only Reception Mode (MEM). Persons who don’t know the password cannot make changes to or print memory data when the machine is in this mode. You can only registration one password.

To set memory password:

1Press Menu/Exit to enter menu.

2Enter speed dial access no. 04, wait.

3Enter 4-digit numeric password (0000-9999) using numeric keypad, press Enter.

4Press Menu/Exit to return to standby mode.

To cancel a registered password:

1Press Menu/Exit to enter menu.

2Enter speed dial access no. 04, wait.

3Enter 4-digit numeric password (0000-9999) using numeric keypad, press Enter.

4If the password matches the registered number, Password Close? displays. If numbers do not match, Invalid Password displays.
