Tochange the batteryof theheart rate sensory ourself,c arefullyfollow t heinst ructionsbelow:
Whenchangingt hebattery, make sure the sealing ringis notdamaged, in which case you shouldreplace it
witha new one. You can purchase the sealingring/battery kits at w ell-equippedPolarretailers andauthorized
PolarServices. In the USA andCanada, the additionalsealing ringsare available at authorizedPolar Service
Centers.In the US A the sealingring/battery kits are also available at www.shoppolar.com.
Whenhandlinga new, f ully chargedbattery, avoid clasp-like contact, i.e. simultaneously from both sides, with
metalor electrically conductingtools, like tweezers. This may shortcircuit the battery, causingit t odischarge
morerapidly. Typically, short circuiting does not damagethe battery, but it may decrease the capacity and the
lifetimeof t hebattery.

coverby turning it coun-
terclockwise to OPEN.
2. Insertthe battery (CR 2025)
insidethe cover with the positive
(+)side against the cover. Make
surethe sealing ringis inthe
grooveto ensurewater res-
istance.
3. Pressthe cover back into the con-
nector.

clockwise to CLOSE.
