Auto Focus / Manual Focus
	The Auto Focus/Manual Focus function	a

	In most situations, it is better to use the
	automatic focus feature, as it enables
	you to concentrate on the creative side
	of your recording.
	Manual focusing may be necessary
	under certain conditions that make	c
	automatic focusing difficult or unreliable.
Auto Focus

If you are inexperienced in the use of DVD Camcorders, we recommend that you use Auto Focus.

Manual Focus
 In the following situations, you may obtain better	3
results by adjusting the focus manually.

a.A picture containing several objects, some close to the DVD Camcorder, others further away.

b.A person enveloped in fog or surrounded by snow.

c.Very shiny or glossy surfaces like a car.

d.People or objects moving constantly or quickly like an athlete or a crowd.

1.Set the [Mode] switch to [DISC] or [CARD]. (VP-DC163(i)/DC165W(i)/DC165WB(i) only)

2.	Set the [Power] switch to [	(Camera)].
3.	Press the [MF/AF] button.

The manual focus icon () will blink.

4.Focus with the [VOL-]and [VOL+] buttons.

Pressing the [VOL-]button will focus on the foreground image while pressing the [VOL+] button will focus on the background image.

5.To exit, press the [MF/AF] button.

Verwenden Sie vorzugsweise den Autofokus, da Sie sich dann besser auf die kreative Seite Ihrer Aufnahmen konzentrieren können.

Für manche Aufnahmesituationen ist der Autofokus jedoch ungeeignet. Verwenden Sie in diesen Fällen den manuellen Fokus.

Autofokus

Wenn Sie noch wenig Übung im Umgang mit dem DVD-Camcorder haben, wird die Verwendung des Autofokus empfohlen.

Manueller Fokus

In folgenden Fällen erzielen Sie unter Umständen bessere Ergebnisse, wenn Sie den Fokus manuell einstellen:

a.Wenn sich mehrere Objekte in unterschiedlicher Entfernung vom DVD-Camcorder im Bild befinden.

b.Wenn sich das Motiv im Nebel oder Schnee befindet.

c.Wenn die Oberflächen sehr hell oder glänzend sind, z. B. bei Autos.

d.Wenn sich die Personen oder Objekte in ständiger oder sehr schneller Bewegung befinden, z. B. Sportler oder eine Menschenmenge.

	1.	Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf [DISC] oder
	2.	[CARD]. (Nur VP-DC163(i)/DC165W(i)/DC165WB(i))
-RW		Stellen Sie den Betriebsart-Wählerauf [		(Camera)]
	3.	Drücken Sie die Taste [MF/AF].
VR
			Das Symbol für den manuellen Fokus (	) blinkt.
	4.
		Fokussieren Sie mit den Tasten [VOL-]und [VOL+].
		Durch Drücken der [VOL-]-Taste werden die Objekte im
		Vordergrund, durch Drücken der [VOL+]-Taste die Objekte
	5.	im Hintergrund fokussiert.
		Um das Menü zu verlassen, drücken Sie die Taste [MF/AF].

Manual Focus is not available in the EASY.Q mode.
