Unit 8: Adjustment Procedures

FACTORY CLEAR MODE

Factory clear is the process of reinitializing the printer. This process returns the printer to the factory defaults and includes resetting the printer’s internal counters. The figure below details dipswitch settings, operator actions, and printer responses for Factory Clear Mode.

Refer to Figure 1-1 of the Introduction unit in this manual for dipswitch location.

Choose Applicable Option

No Counter Clear: (DSW = 1: OFF, 2: OFF, 3: ON, 4: OFF) + Cover Open + PRINT + FEED + POWER

Head Counter Clear: (DSW = 1: OFF, 2: ON, 3: ON, 4: OFF) + Cover Open + PRINT + FEED + POWER

Head Counter/Factory Clear: (DSW = 1: ON, 2: OFF, 3: ON, 4: OFF) + Cover Open + PRINT + FEED + POWER

Flashes orange and enters the

Factory Clear Mode. Blinks red

with cover open.

Close cover.

Blinks green while Factory

Clear in progress.

FEED

Start/Stop

Factory Test Printing. Flashes

green while test printing.

Confirm printing has stopped and press

POWER.

Printer shuts down.
