7.During the installation of Windows NT Server Tools, the Setup program created the new-conf.sysand new-vars.batfiles in the workstation’s srvtools directory.

Each of these files contains lines that you must copy to the client computer’s config.sys and autoexec.bat files as follows:

ÊThe files statement in the \srvtools\new-config.sysfile is the recommended number of files. Edit the config.sys file to contain the following line:

files=x

where x is a number equal to or greater than the recommended number in the new-conf.sys file.

ÊEdit the autoexec.bat file to reflect the following changes:

The directory containing the Windows NT Server Tools must be on the PATH line.

If you are in a time zone other than Pacific Standard Time (PST), copy the time zone statement recommended in the \srvtools\new-vars.batfile. Add a set tz line to set the time zone.

For example, if you are in Paderborn, you would add the following line:

SET TZ=UCT-01:00DST

8.Reboot the client computer.
