boot system

This command specifies the image used to start up the system.

Syntax

boot system [unit:] {boot-romconfig opcode}: filename

The type of file or image to set as a default includes:

-boot-rom* - Boot ROM.

-config* - Configuration file.

-opcode* - Run-time operation code.

-filename - Name of the configuration file or code image.

-unit* - Specifies the unit number.

(Range – SMC6224M: 1-8, SMC6248M: 1-4, mixed stack: 1-4)

*The colon (:) is required.

Command Usage

A colon (:) is required after the specified unit number and file type.

If the file contains an error, it cannot be set as the default file.
