6Gently grasp the card and pull it out.

Do not choose a USB disk or a Sony i.LINK optical drive in the Stop a Hardware device dialog box.

If you removed a Sony i.LINK optical drive by mistake, disconnect the docking station and reconnect it. See “Disconnecting the notebook from the docking station” for more information.

✍In some cases, if your notebook alternates between normal power operation and power saving mode while the PC Card is inserted, the notebook may not recognize the connected device. In such a case, reboot your notebook to correct the problem.
