5. Verifythat the delayed trigger system operates:
a. Set up the delayedtrigger:
HPull down the Trigmenu and select AB Trigger Sequence. . . .
This displays the AB Sequencetab of the trigger setup control
window.
HClick the TrigAfter Time button under A Then B.
HClick the B Trig Level control in the control window.
HSet the TriggerMODE to NORM.
b. Confirm that the following statements are true:
HThe trigger-levelreadout for the B trigger system changes as you
turn the lower multipurpose knob.
HAs you rotate the lower multipurpose knob, the square-wave
probe-compensationsignal can become triggered and untriggered.
(Leavethe signal triggered.)
c. Verifythe delayed trigger counter:
HDouble-clickthe Trig Delay control to pop up a numeric keypad for
that control.
HClick on the keypad to entera trigger delay time of 1 second,and
then click Enter.
HVerifythat t he TRIG’Dindicator on the front panel flashes about
once everysecond as the waveform is updated on-screen.
6. Remove the test hookup:Disconnect the probe from the channel input and
the probe compensationoutput.

One10X oscilloscope probe, such as TektronixP5050
One720 K or 1.44 Mbyte, 3.5 inch DOS-compatibleformatted disk. If
yourinst rument does not include a floppy disk drive, see the Note on
page2 --6.

1. Initialize the oscilloscope:P ush the front-panel DEFAULT SETUP button.
2. Hook up the signal source:Connect the probe to the probe compensation
output and the CH 1 input as shown in Figure 2--6.
