Output Signal Checks
The following proceduresverify characteristics of the output signals that are
listed as checkedunder Warranted Characteristics in the Specifications section.
The oscilloscopeoutputs these signals at its front and rear panels.
Equipment
required
Twoprecision 50 Ωcoaxial cables (Item 4)
Onecal ibration generator (Item 11)
Prerequisites ReadPrerequisites on page 2 --17and footnote warnings on page 2--19.
Also,the oscilloscope must have passedCheck DC Voltage
Measurement Accuracy on page 2--24.
1. Install the test hookupand preset the instrument controls:

a. Hook up test-signal source1:
HConnect the standard amplitudeoutput of a calibrationgenerator
through a 50 Ωprecision coaxialcable to CH 3. See Figure 2--22.
HSet the calibration generatorto output a 0.500 V square wave.
b. Hook up test-signal source2: Connect the Aux Ou t at the rear panel to
CH 2 through a 50 Ωprecision cable.
c. Initialize the oscilloscope:Press the DEFAULT SETUP button.
d. Modify the initialized front-panelcontrol settings:
HPress the Vertical CH1button to toggle it off.
HPress the Vertical CH3button to display that channel.
