2. Set the Generator:
HSet the sine wave generatorto a reference frequency of 10 MHz.
HAdjust the sine wave generatoramplitude to the required number of
divisions as measuredby the oscilloscope.
3. Record the reference level:
HDisconnect the sine wavegenerator from the oscilloscope.
HConnect the sine wave generator to th e power sensor.
HNote the level meterreading.
4. Set the generator to the new frequency an d referencelevel:
HChange the sine wave generator to the d esired new frequency.
HInput the correctionfactor and/or the new frequency into the level meter.
HAdjust the sine wave generatoramplitude until the level meter again
reads thevalue noted in step 3. The signal amplitude is now correctly set
for the new frequencyfor your specific test procedure.
HDisconnect the sine wavegenerator from the power sensor.
Connect the sine wave generatorto the oscilloscope and proceed with the tes t
instructions that requirea leveled sine wave generator at the frequency you set in
step 4.
