Problem Description

The controller’s Windows NT® operating system may fail to start or may malfunction.

Corrective Action

Use the e-STUDIO GL-1020 Recovery CD-ROM to restore the required GL-1020 system files. Refer to the field service guide for instructions.

OS Update Does Not Boot Off CD

Problem Description

During an OS update from CD-ROM, the OS Update Version screen fails to appear or the LCD touch screen displays the “Starting Controller, Please Wait” or “Shut-down in Progress, Please Wait” message for over ten minutes. This could indicate that the CD-ROM itself is damaged or incorrectly inserted. Other problems are more serious and may require contacting your TOSHIBA authorized dealer for support.

Corrective Action

1Make sure that the CD-ROM has been inserted into the drive with the label side up (showing).

2Check that you can read the CD-ROM from another drive. If the CD-ROM is corrupt or damaged, contact your TOSHIBA authorized dealer for support.
