GETTING STARTED

There are three major tasks required to configure TopAccess to meet your unique needs:

1Set up the administrative functions, such as password, contact information, messages, department codes, and preferences.

2Set up the copier and printer functions.

3Configure network protocols and setting up email.

4Set up scan agents and templates.

5Upload client software to the controller so your users can installed on their workstations.

SETTING UP ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

The following topics explain administrative tasks to set up the system.

Setting the Administrator’s Password

1Log in as an administrator.

2Click the Administration tab.

3Click the Device subtab. The Device window opens.

4In the Properties area, enter a five-digit administrator’s password for the device in the Administrator's Password field.

TopAccess requires this password to log in as an administrator.

5To enter a new password, type the new password over the old password.

6Click Save.

Setting the Default Start Page

1Click the Preferences link. The preferences page displays.

2Click the Start Page drop-down arrow and select the start page.

3Click Save to save your new settings.
