Setting Up WINS and DNS Servers

1From the TCP/IP Setting menu, press the page-down arrow. The TCP/IP Setting: Servers screen opens.

Note: If you have DHCP enabled, it obtains WINS and DNS server information automatically. Any information you enter on the TCP/IP Setting: Servers screen overrides the settings acquired by DHCP.

2Press PRIMARY or SECONDARY for WINS Servers or DNS Servers to select it.

3Enter the IP Address of the Primary or Secondary WINS and/ or DNS server using the control panel’s numeric keypad.

4Press OK to save the changes for the duration of the session.

5Press the page-up arrow to return to the TCP/IP Setting screen.

Configuring IPX/SPX Protocol Settings

By default, the frame type is set to AUTO. With the Auto Sense option enabled, the controller inspects network traffic to determine the appropriate frame type. While this makes frame type discovery automatic, it can also cause network congestion.
