The default setting is DHCP.
Note: If DHCP is selected, the IP Address, Subnet Mask and
Gateway fields aren’t displayed.
5 Enter the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address if
appropriate.
6 Enter the address of the Primary DNS Server.
7 Enter the address of a Secondary DNS Server.
8 Follow the in structions in Configuring SMB Settings on
page 98.
Configuring SMB Settings
1 In the SMB area of the Network page, click the Protocol
drop-down list.
2 Select Enable to enable SMB protocol.
This is the default setting.
3 In the Device Name field, enter the controller name.
4 Enter the controller’s Workgroup.
5 Enter the address of the primary WINS Server.
6 Enter a WINS Scope ID for the controller.
Note: Macintosh and Unix networks must have WINS or
NETBIOS support to access the GL-1020 controller by name
instead of IP address.
7 To set the controller as a master browser, click the Master
Browser drop-down list and select Enable.
The default setting is Disable.
8Click
Save.
9 Follow the in structions in Applying Changes to Protocol
Settings on page 96.
Configuring AppleTalk Settings
1 On the Administration tab, click the Setup subtab.
2Click the Network link.
The Network page opens.
3 In the AppleTalk area, click the Protocol drop-down list.
