Private Print

A printing mode that allows you to send a job from your

 

workstation, and then hold it until you enter a private DIN from the

 

copier to release and print the job.

Proof Print

A printing mode that allows you to print only the first copy of a

 

multi-copy job and review it before releasing and printing the

 

remaining copies.

Properties

User-definable attributes or settings. For example, print properties

 

include page orientation and duplex mode.

Property sheet

A dialog box containing properties grouped by category. For

 

example, all properties that are related to finishing options are

 

grouped on the GL-1020 drivers’ Setup property page.

Property tab

A Properties dialog box typically contains several tabs that allow

 

you to access property sheets, where options and settings are

 

grouped by category or function.

Protocol stack

A set of protocols, organized in layers, for controlling

 

communication between devices. Devices with the same protocol

 

stack can communicate with each other.

Public folder

A TopAccessComposer system folder. The administrator and all

 

registered and unregistered users can edit, view and print

 

documents in the Public folder. They can also create Public

 

subfolders.

Reversing Automatic Document Feeder. An automatic feeder that scans the provided document from last page to first page.

Remote Access Service. A function in the Microsoft Windows® operating system that provides access to remote users via modems. You can dial into your own machine and gain access to

A print job that is sent to the controller by means other than the GL-1020 printer driver. For example, using DOS commands to print directly to the local port, or using a different type of driver, such as a HP driver, to print to a GL-1020 controller.

Recoverable error
