Syslog

This chapter explains how to set the syslog parameters.

17.1 Syslog

The syslog feature sends logs to an external syslog server.

17.2 Syslog Setup

Click Advanced Application and then SysLog in the navigation panel to display the screen shown next.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL	DESCRIPTION
Enable UNIX	Select this check box to activate syslog (system logging) and then
Syslog	configure the syslog parameters described in the following fields.
SysLog Server IP	Enter the IP address of the syslog server.
Log Facility	Select an option from the drop-down list box. The log facility allows you to log
	the message to different files in the server. Please refer to the documentation
	of your syslog program for more details.
Apply	Click Apply to save your changes to the MSAP2000 AAMS’s volatile memory.
	The MSAP2000 AAMS loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so
	use the Config Save link on the navigation panel to save your changes to the
	non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel	Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
