27.3 DHCP Relay Overview

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, RFC 2131 and RFC 2132) allows individual clients to obtain TCP/IP configuration at start-up from a DHCP server. You can configure the MSAP2000 AAMS to relay client TCP/IP configuration requests to a DHCP server and the server’s responses back to the clients. See the web configurator parts for details on DHCP relay.

27.4 DHCP Relay Commands

Use these commands to configure the DHCP relay feature.

27.4.1 DHCP Relay Server Set Command

Syntax:

switch dhcprelay server <server ip>

where

<server ip>

= The IP address of a DHCP server.

This command adds a DHCP server entry to the list of servers to which the MSAP2000 AAMS relays client

TCP/IP configuration requests.
