27.3 DHCP Relay Overview

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, RFC 2131 and RFC 2132) allows individual clients to obtain TCP/IP configuration at start-up from a DHCP server. You can configure the MSAP2000 AAMS to relay client TCP/IP configuration requests to a DHCP server and the server’s responses back to the clients. 27.4 DHCP Relay Commands

Use these commands to configure the DHCP relay feature.

27.4.1 DHCP Relay Server Set Command

Syntax:

switch dhcprelay server <server ip>

where

<server ip> = The IP address of a DHCP server.

This command adds a DHCP server entry to the list of servers to which the MSAP2000 AAMS relays client

TCP/IP configuration requests.
