30.4 Phone Calls and VoIP

The telephone port won’t work or the telephone lacks a dial tone.

1Check the telephone connections and telephone wire.

2Make sure you have the VoIP > SIP Account and SIP Service Provider screens properly configured. The PHONE light should be on when the SIP line is properly registered.

I can access the Internet, but cannot make VoIP calls.

1Make sure you have the VoIP > SIP Account and SIP Service Provider screens properly configured.

2The PHONE light should come on. Make sure that your telephone is connected to the PHONE port.

3You can also check the VoIP status in the Status screen.

30.5USB Device Connection

The P-2812HNU-51c fails to detect my USB device.

1Disconnect the USB device.

2Reboot the P-2812HNU-51c.

3If you are connecting a USB hard drive that comes with an external power supply, make sure it is connected to an appropriate power source that is on.

4Re-connect your USB device to the P-2812HNU-51c.
