EQ (EQUALIZER)

This unit provides the following three different kinds.

ROCK: Powerful sound emphasizing treble and bass

POP: More presence in the vocals and midrange

JAZZ: Accented lower frequencies for jazz-type music

 

Press the MODE button repeatedly until “GEQ oFF” appears

A13JUSTINGTHEVOLUME

Turn the VOLUME control on the main uni’i, or press the VOLUME buttons on the remote control.

The volume level is shown on the display for 4 seconds. It can be set from O (minimum) to 30, and then MAX (maximum). When you set the volume level to 21 or higher, the level indication on the clisplay flashes,

The (olume remains memorized even after the power is turned off. However, if the power is turned off when the volume is set to more than 21, it is automatically set to 21 the next time the power is turned on.

ENIHANCING THE TREBLE SOUND

The 3BE system enhances the clarity of high-frequency sound, Press the MODE button repeatedly until “BBE” appears on the display. Then, turn the MULTI JOG dial right or left to select one of the three levels, or off position within 10 seconds. The BBE level does not change cyclically.

When using the remote control, press the EQ button repeatedly,

The output volume and tone of the speakers or headphones may be freely varied without affecting the level of the recording.

ENHANCING THE BASS SOUND

The T-BASS system enhances the realism of low-frequency

sourld.

Press the MODE button repeatedly until “T-BASS” appears on the clisplay. Then, turn the MULTI JOG dial right or left to select one of the three levels, or off position within 10 seconds. The T- BASS level does not change cyclically.

When using the remote control, press the T-BASS button repeatedly.

Low frequency sound may be distorted when the T-BASS system is used fora disc or tape in which Iowfrequency sound is originally emphasized. In this case, cancel the T-BASS system,
