Reserving DHCP

If you have workstations on your LAN with static IP addresses and other

Addresses

workstations on the same LAN with dynamic IP addresses, it is recommended that

you reserve the static IP addresses in the DHCP server to ensure that they are not

dynamically assigned to another workstation.

Reserve DHCP addresses as follows.

1

From the LAN Modem main page, click the Workstations graphic.

The Workstation Parameters window opens.

2

Click the Workstation Configuration tab.

3

Locate the Workstation for which you would like to reserve the IP address on the

DHCP server.

4

Check the box labeled Reserved.

5

Click Submit.

If you want to password protect the configuration profile of the ISDN LAN

Modem, refer to “Locking and Unlocking the Configuration.”
