Enabling/Disabling Directed Call Pickup

Operational IP Phone Features

Use the following procedure to enable or disable the Directed Call Pickup feature on the IP phone.

Configuration Files

To enable/disable Directed Call Pickup on the IP phone using the configuration files, see Appendix A, the section, “Directed Call Pickup (BLF or XML Call Interception) Settings” on page A-104.

Aastra Web UI

1Click on Basic Settings->Preferences->Directed Call Pickup Settings.

2Enable the "Directed Call Pickup" field by checking the check box. (Disable this field by unchecking the box). Default is disabled.)

3Enable the "Play a Ring Splash" field by checking the check box. (Disable this field by unchecking the box). Default is disabled.)

The IP phone plays a short "call waiting tone" when there is an incoming call on the BLF monitored extension. If the "Play a Ring Splash" parameter is enabled, and the host tone is idle, the tone plays a "ring splash".
