What to do next

Once you decide how you want to set up the printer, proceed as follows:

mPSERVER To set up the printer as a print server, read about how to use PCONSOLE in the next section, then

m if you want a simple setup, read “Step 2, Option A: Setting Up the Printer as a Print Server (Using PCONSOLE),” later in this chapter.

m if you want to assign a password, read “Step 3: Assigning a Password for the Print Server (Optional),” later in this chapter.

mRPRINTER To set up the printer as a remote printer, read about how to use PCONSOLE in the next section, then skip to “Step 2, Option B: Setting Up the Printer as a Remote Printer (RPRINTER Mode),” later in this chapter.

For both PSERVER and RPRINTER, you must also follow the instructions in “Step 4: Setting Up the PostScript Printer Driver for NetWare,” later in this chapter.
