Checking for and clearing paper jams

Paper jams can occur in three areas in the printer:

mwhere paper goes into the printer (pickup area and paper cassette)

mwhere printing happens (transfer drum)

mwhere paper comes out of the printer (fuser and output trays)

IMPORTANT If you experience paper jams after you first set up the printer, check all areas of the printer to make sure that the cardboard and orange plastic packing materials have been removed.
