Connecting the power and turning on the printer

Once you’ve connected the printer to your networks, you’re ready to start up the printer. Follow these steps to make sure everything is working correctly.

1 Make sure the printer is turned off.

If you can’t tell whether the switch
is in or out, press and release it	Off position	On position
once or twice until you’re sure the
switch is out and the printer is off.

2Plug in the printer.

Insert the socket end of the power cord into the receptacle on the back of the printer. Plug the other end into a grounded (three-hole) AC outlet.
