16Remove all the fuser oil from inside the printer.

First, use a lever inside the fuser access door to pump fuser oil from inside the printer back into the fuser oil compartment. Then insert a turkey baster or other blunt syringe into the fuser oil compartment and withdraw the oil.

To force fuser oil out of the printer and back into the fuser oil compartment, press and release this lever 50 times (or more, if necessary).

IMPORTANT Do not use paper towels, tissues, or anything that leaves lint or debris. It’s better to leave a small amount of oil than to get foreign matter into the compartment.

If you leave oil in the printer, spots may appear on the first 20 to 50 pages you print after the move.
