Memory Board

The memory board is installed on the main controller board inside the machine. When you add the optional memory board, it increases the performance modes for both fax and printer operations. A special Brother memory board is available from your Brother dealer. Be careful to purchase the appropriate memory board for your needs.

Optional Memory for the Printer & Fax

Operations

For the Printer and Fax Sending

The MFC has 4 MB of memory for the printer and fax sending operation. Additional memory is useful and may be necessary if you want to download many different fonts or want to print a very complex document. 8 MB (ME8000) or 16 MB (ME16000) of Optional Memory is available.

For the Fax Receiving

The MFC has 2 MB of memory for the fax receiving operation. Additional memory is available and will expand the memory available for receiving faxes. 2 MB (ME2050) or 4 MB (ME4050) of Optional Memory is available.
