Setting Up the Machine

Follow the instructions below to connect power cord, and telephone line.

Connect the power cord.

Connect the telephone line cord.

Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the socket on the MFC (marked LINE) and the other end to a modular wall socket.

NOTICE:

■The MFC must be fitted with an earthed plug.

■Since the MFC is earthed via the main plug, protect yourself from potentially hazardous electrical conditions on the telephone network by keeping the power to your MFC on when you connect it to a telephone line. When you want to move your MFC, protect yourself by disconnecting the telephone line first, and then the power cord.

■Do not touch any moving parts.

■You must use the mains cord supplied with the machine.
