Copy Options –Temporary Settings

You can choose the copy quality by using the Copy keys: Contrast, Document Type, Enlarge/Reduce, and Option. These settings are temporary, and the MFC returns to its default settings when you finish copying. You can try different combinations of settings for best results.

Using the Contrast Key

You can choose the brightness setting before making a copy.

1Insert the document in the feeder, or on the glass platten.

2Press Contrast.

3Press to make a lighter copy.

OR

Press to make a darker copy.

4Press Set when the screen displays your setting.

Using the Document Type Key

You can select the Copy resolution for your type of the original document (TEXT, AUTO or PHOTO). Select the right kind of image you’re copying.

1Place the document in the feeder or on the glass platten.

2Press Document Type. The screen will display the default setting.

DOC TYPE:AUTO

SELECT { } & SET

TEXT (text only)

AUTO (line art, graphs, or any combination including photograph)

PHOTO (photograph only)

3Press or to select the right kind of image you’re copying, and press Set.

4Press Copy.

5Using dial key pad, enter the number of copies.

6Wait five seconds or press Copy again.
