Jams in the Multi-Purpose Tray

Use this procedure if the recording paper jams or misfeeds in the multi- purpose tray. If this happens, the message CLEAR PAPER JAM appears in the display.

1.Gently pull any jammed paper out of the unit as shown.

❏You can hold the document tray up for easy access to the jammed paper.

Remove the paper stack from the multi-purpose tray and reload it.

❏ Make sure you push the paper to the back and right of the

 

 

multi-purpose tray, and that the stack is not higher than the

 

 

paper limit mark ( P).

Press Resume to clear the error message.

 

 

❏ If you are printing from a Windows® application, follow the

 

 

instructions displayed by the software on your PC.

n If the paper jam occurred while a fax was being received into the MultiPASS C70’s memory, that fax will print automatically when the jam is cleared and you press the Resume button.
