Displaying Details of the Transaction

Use [ ] or [#] to display the details (e.g. transaction number, transaction time and fax number).

If you are unsure of the transaction number, print the MEMORY LIST (See “Printing the MEMORY LIST” on page 76).

„Special Dialing

zDialing through a Switchboard

A PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is an on-site telephone switchboard. If your machine is connected through a PBX or other telephone switching system, you have to dial the outside line access number first, and then the number of the party you are calling.

zSending/Receiving Using ECM

This machine is set to send/receive faxes in ECM (Error Correction Mode). Checking the sending and receiving condition at the sending end and the receiving end respectively, ECM automatically corrects errors caused by telephone line trouble.

Note

zIf the sender's or receiver’s fax is not ECM-compatible, the fax will be sent/received in the standard mode.

zYou can also disable ECM sending/receiving (See “TX SETTINGS” on page 94).
