FULL SCREEN

Select Full Screen when you want to display the image using all the pixels available regardless of the source and original aspect ratio.

FULL WIDTH

Select Full Width when you want to fill the screen from left-to-right. Based on the source, the top and bottom of the screen may not be filled and appear black, similar to a 16:9 image.

FULL HEIGHT

Select Full Height when you want to fill the screen from top-to-bottom. Based on the source, the left and right side of the screen may not be filled and appear black.

ANAMORPHIC

Select Anamorphic when you want to display a non-HDTV “wide screen” image in its native 16:9 aspect ratio. This is known as letterbox, and the image will fill the screen from left-to-right and may not use all vertical pixels, leaving the top and bottom portion of the screen black. If you choose not to use the Anamorphic option when displaying a non-HDTV anamorphic source, the image will be stretched vertically to fill the screen as much as possible leading to a distorted image. If you are using HDTV, selecting the default preset will give you the same result as if choosing Anamorphic.
