The CP connection can also be set up through a terminal server, as shown in Figure 5-79.

Connect Power to the MGX 8830 Switch

The section provides the following installation procedures for connecting power to the switch:

“Connect DC Power to the Switch” section on page 5-127
Warning

Never install an AC power module and a DC power module in the same chassis.

Warning

Do not touch the power supply when the power cord is connected. For systems with a power switch,

line voltages are present within the power supply even when the power switch is off and if the power

cord is connected. For systems without a power switch, line voltages are present within the power

supply when the power cord is connected.
