Cisco MGX 8950 Switch

Extender Card

The extender card was introduced in Release 5. It supports AXSM-XG cards only. The AXSM-XG card

has a cutout on the rear edge to accommodate mounting the extender c ard. This card is required because

the MGX 8950 uses VHDM connectors. See Figure1-23 for details on the extender card.
