MGX 8850/B Redundancy Connectors
The MGX 8850/B chassis has optional 1:3 (RCON-1to3-8850) and 1:5 (R CON-1TO5-8850) RCONs for
1:N redundancy when using MPSM-16-T1E1 cards. A single chassis supports u p to four RCONs, on the
left and right sides of the upper and lower bays. These RCONs are keyed to ensure that back cards are
inserted properly.
Figure 1-4 shows an RCON installed in an MGX 8850/B chassis. Figure 1-18 and Figure 1-19 show the
1:5 and 1:3 assemblies, respectively.
