SCE Platform Management Interfaces

SCE Platform Management Interfaces

You can manage the SCE 2000 platform through either of its management interfaces, CLI or SNMP. Both these interfaces provide management access to the same database of the SCE 2000 platform; any configuration changes made through one interface are also reflected through the other interface.

CLI (Command Line Interface). The CLI is accessible through the Console port or through a Telnet connection. The CLI is the interface described throughout this manual. Command Line Interface further discusses the CLI.

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). You can use SNMP as an interface for monitoring the variables as defined in the MIB-II and Cisco’s propriety MIB specifications. For information on enabling SNMP, see SNMP Interface
