User Guidelines
When configuring a particular duplex mode on the port operating at 10/100 Mbps,
disable the auto-negotiation on that port.
Half duplex mode can be set only for ports operating at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps.
Example
The following example configures the duplex operation of Ethernet port 1 to full
duplex operation.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1
Console(config-if)# duplex full
negotiation
The negotiation Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command
enables auto-negotiation operation for the speed and duplex parameters of a
given interface. Use the no form of this command to disable auto-negotiation.
NOTE (SPS224G4 combo ports) This command applies when the copper port is used.
The configuration does not apply when an SFP is plugged to the port.
