dot1x timeout server-timeout
The dot1x timeout server-timeout Interface Configuration mode command sets the
time that the device waits for a response from the authentication server. Use the
no form of this command to restore the default configuration.
Syntax
dot1x timeout server-timeout
seconds
no dot1x timeout server-timeout
Parameters
seconds —
Time in seconds that the device waits for a response from the
authentication server. (Range: 1-65535 seconds)
Default Configuration
The timeout period is 30 seconds.

Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode
User Guidelines
The actual timeout can be determined by comparing the dot1x timeout server-
timeout value and the result of multiplying the radius-server retransmit value with
the radius-server timeout value and selecting the lower of the two values.
Example
The following example sets the time for the retransmission of packets to the
authentication server to 3600 seconds.
