Installing a RAID Battery

1Locate the RAID battery pocket on the chassis that is adjacent to hard drive bay 0. See Figure 3-11.

2Insert the battery in the battery pocket.

3Connect the battery cable to the RAID controller daughter card. See Figure 3-11.

Removing a RAID Battery

1Disconnect the RAID battery cable from the SAS RAID daughter card. See Figure 3-11.

2Press the release latch toward the hard-drive bays and remove the battery from the battery pocket.
