Defining the Multiple Spanning Tree

The Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) operation maps VLANs into STP instances.
MSTP provides a differing load balancing scenario. For example, while port A is blocked in one STP
instance, the same port is placed in the Forwarding State in another STP instance. The

page allows defining up to sixteen MSTP instances for the device.
