Performing Fiber Optic Cable Tests Using CLI Commands
The following table contains the CLI command for performing fiber optic cable tests.
The following is an example of the CLI command:

The following columns appear on the screen:

— Internally measured transceiver temperature
Voltage
— Internally measured supply voltage
Current
— Measured TX bias current
Output Power
— Measured TX output power in milliWatts
Input Power
— Measured RX received power in milliwatts
TX Fault
— Transmitter fault
NOTE: Finisar transceivers do not support the transmitter fault diagnostic testing.
LOS
— Loss of signal
Data Ready
— Indicates transceiver has archived power up and data is ready
N/A
— Not Available, N/S - Not Supported, W - Warning, E - Error
NOTE: Fiber Optic analysis feature works only on SFPs that support the digital diagnostic standard SFF-
4872.
