Installing the Middle Planes

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.

1Place the lower middle plane into the chassis. Make sure that the two stand-offs on the chassis are inserted through the slot on the lower middle plane. See Figure 3-30.

2Replace the screws that secure the lower middle plane to the chassis. See Figure 3-30.

3Connect all the cables to the lower middle plane.

You must route these cables properly through the tabs on the chassis to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.
