To change the RITech setting, follow these steps:
Using the printer driver:
Check or uncheck the RITech check box on the Panel menu in
the printer driver.
Using the Remote Control Panel utility:
Bring up the Remote Control Panel utility by typing EPRCP at
the DOS prompt; select the appropriate emulation from the
main Remote Control Panel window; click the Printer Setup
button; then change the RITech setting.
If the pattern still needs to be improved, you may also have to
change the print density setting. See the next section for more
information.
Adjusting print densityDo not change the print density unless it is necessary.
Changing the print density affects all text and graphics, so
check the new setting by printing several pages with various
kinds of text and graphics.
If your printout are too light or too dark, adjust the print
density by using the printer driver, or the Remote Control
Panel utility.
Using the printer driver:
Change the Density setting on the Panel menu in the printer
driver.
Using the Remote Control Panel utility:
Bring up the Remote Control Panel utility by typing EPRCP at
the DOS prompt; select the appropriate emulation from the
main Remote Control Panel window; click the Printer Setup
button; then change the Density setting.
