Added drive is identified as defective
The RAID controller is not configured for the drive. The drive was probably installed while the system was switched off.
ÊYou can configure the RAID controller for the drive after its installation using the relevant utility. For how to do this, see the documentation for the RAID controller (on the ServerBooks CD under the heading “Controllers”).

ÊRemove the drive and reinstall it with the system switched on.
If the drive is still identified as defective, you will need to replace it.
