8.1.5.1Identifying the defective memory
The faulty memory module can be identified from the corresponding DIMM Fault LED on the respective memory board (see figure 33) when the server is open.
ÊOpen the server (see "Opening the server" on page 134).

ÊUse the DIMM Fault LEDs (5) to identify the faulty memory module.
The respective DIMM Fault LED lights up orange and indicates the slot on the memory board that is occupied by the faulty memory module.
ÊMake a note of which LED (e.g. "1B“) on which memory board is lit orange.
ÊPress the ATTN button (1) .
ÊWait until ATTN LED (2) and Power LED (3) are turned off.
ÊRemove the memory board as described in "Removing the memory board in question" on page 117
